Jo Ann is a Masters World Champion in both Weightlifting and Powerlifting and a World Masters Champion.

have often found myself in leadership and teaching roles, due to my compassionate and detail-oriented nature.
I wanted to connect with and encourage people of all backgrounds and strength levels to pursue their strength goals and dreams, whether it be women of any age who have never touched a barbell and want to gain strength to free themselves of knee or back pain or an athlete breaking an American Record or making a World Team.
I have had a tremendous amount of success rehabbing my own injuries over the past 20 years in pursuit of my dreams and pride myself in keeping my lifters healthy and injury-free.
I find it rewarding to pass on my knowledge to all who are interested in improving themselves and their quality of life, whether as competitive elite athlete or as people of all genders who wish to feel empowered, confident and strong!
I’ve primarily worked with women and also people of all genders who are detail-oriented, committed and have a positive outlook.
For 10 years, I have run a highly successful strength program based on the powerlifting movements called Women’s Strong School, where I support women of all levels, from brand new beginner to elite athlete, focusing on addressing weaknesses, nutrition and building confidence in and outside the gym.
My other favorite client is the competitive athlete who wants to dial in the details from proper weight cut and recomposition at meets, to addressing technical or programming flaws in weightlifting, powerlifting or ST.
Recently, I started working with high-touch clients who need extemely personalized coaching.
This level of coaching is at a premium price and is something I offer for those who want a premium experience!
My expertise as a competitive weightlifter & powerlifter for nearly 20 years gives me the confidence and experience to train at an elite level and stay healthy as a masters lifter.
Having started in strength sports at the late age of 33, and breaking both Open World Records in Powerlifting (age 42) and Masters WRs in Weightlifting at the age of 47, I know how to continue making PRs and stay healthy for many, many years!
Also, having not had this type of coaching when I started, I pride myself in teaching proper technique, prehab and rehab so that more lifters can stay injury-free and have a successful and life long career, whether it be competitively or having fun staying strong into old age!
Aboslutely YES!!!! From brand new beginner to Elite athlete! I love working with them all!!!
